"I am disappointed with the position outlined in this report. It does not take due account of the lessons that need to be learned from the 2020 climate and energy framework, nor does it offer the flexible approach that is needed if we are to reduce the high energy costs which EU citizens face in the current market.
However, I am most disappointed by the manner in which today’s vote on the report was conducted. I was unable to register my final vote because, like many of my colleagues, I was waiting for the rapporteur from the ECR Group who had asked to take the floor to do so. I feel strongly that due process was not followed in denying him the chance to speak, and I very much hope that we will have the opportunity to cast our votes on this report again."@en1
