lpv:spoken text	"I supported this report, which calls for an EU equality roadmap for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people. There are already equality strategies for Roma integration and preventing discrimination on the basis of disability or gender, so it is right that we also develop a strategy for LGBTI people, who still routinely face discrimination. While recognising that many areas are matters for national governments, the report calls for Member States and EU agencies to work together to develop measures to prevent discrimination in all areas, including employment, education, access to healthcare and other services and in the field of citizenship. Discrimination on the grounds of sexuality or gender identity goes against the fundamental values of the European Union and I am pleased that, even without the support of the Tories, a clear majority of the European Parliament supported this report."@en1
