"I very much welcome this report, which has been led by my ECR colleague, and I voted in favour of its adoption. Conservatives in the European Parliament have long been battling against red tape and burdensome legislation and will continue to fight for better law-making that gives our small businesses maximum support and creates maximum opportunities for growth and expansion. I am pleased to see this report highlighting a number of the key measures we must prioritise in going forward: improving the regulatory framework for our smallest businesses by expanding exemptions from European legislation, reducing the incidence of gold-plating and strengthening evidence-based policy making in the European institutions."@en1
