"This regulation has been resubmitted to Parliament due to an incorrect legal basis being used in the original proposal. A notification mechanism will be put in place for Member States to provide the Commission with certain data and information regarding investment projects in energy infrastructure that concern the production, storage and transport of oil, natural gas and electricity. I voted in favour of this report as it will help to build a better understanding of the EU’s energy infrastructure, which will be particularly important when reviewing and planning energy security policies."@en1
