"Mr President, in 2009, following the discovery of pollen from GM maize, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruled that pollen was an ingredient of honey. If you ask beekeepers or honey producers, they will say that is absolute madness. They deliberately try to make honey as pure as possible, but sometimes pollen is unavoidably found in honey. Fortunately today we have managed to throw this eco-lunacy out. For that we have to praise the British Conservative, Julie Girling, for leading a fantastic report. The ECJ and some of those eco-loons may think it is an ingredient, but beekeepers, bee producers and the majority of common-sense MEPs will tell you that it is not, and we voted for that."@en1
