"I voted against the Harkin report on the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund 2014-2020 because, while it is purportedly designed to show solidarity towards workers made redundant as a result of major structural changes in world trade patterns due to globalisation, it is not an efficient and systematic instrument to reduce the impact of the economic crisis. It has never functioned properly, it has lived too long already and should be shut down, not extended."@en1
