As someone who has worked on the revision of public procurement legislation at EU level and who campaigns to raise the level of procurement in Wales, I could not support this report. It might affect the new agreements we have on sustainability, labour conditions and environmental protection in procurement. The potential of public procurement for the Welsh economy is enormous, creating thousands of jobs. I will oppose anything that endangers that. We need to use public money to generate value in local communities through employing local resources."@en1
