"I voted against the Plenkovic report on the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGAF) to be applied to Valenciana building materials in Spain. The EGAF is an attempt to make the EU seem relevant to the peoples of Europe by supposedly offering retraining after mass closures due to the economic downturn. These monies are uncontrolled, inadequate for the task and misdirected. In addition, the UK has never sought the money for itself."@en1
