"In favour. The position of the Greens/EFA group in the CRIM Committee has always been in the direction of developing evidence-based law enforcement, preventing stigmatisation of migrants and ethnic minorities and prioritising white collar and economic crimes as those inflict the highest social harm. For this reason it is very welcome that the CRIM Committee also covered the related issues of corruption and money laundering, which highlights the links between organised crime and tax havens. The final report of the CRIM Committee unfortunately failed to provide a convincing answer to the challenges presented by organised crime, corruption and money laundering. We cannot oversimplify the various threats posed and recommend a one-size-fits-all approach based on repression and surveillance. It was particularly unfortunate that a majority of CRIM members endorsed an amendment calling for an EU Passenger Name Records System and EU Terrorist Finance Tracking System. As this has been solved in the plenary vote, we voted in favour."@en1
