lpv:spoken text	"I supported the overall Iacolino report even though there were some voting outcomes I disagreed with. There were a number of votes supporting a greater tax harmonisation and CCCTB. I do not support any moves towards tax harmonisation as I believe this is a matter for Member States; furthermore, the current proposal on CCCTB will favour larger Member States and I believe it is not a workable proposition. Also, I did not support the ineligibility of certain persons to stand for election. The essence of democracy is that the people decide, not any organisation or body set up to weed out unsuitable candidates – no matter how unsuitable they may be. You cannot second-guess the electorate."@en1
