lpv:translated text	"The EU budget for the financial year 2014 will be the first one under the new Multiannual Financial Framework 2014-2020. It is understandable that the difficult economic and budgetary conditions in many Member States have led EU leaders to propose a series of budgetary cuts. However, it is vital that in areas which play an important role in boosting the economy, such as the digital agenda, research, entrepreneurship and employment, the recommendations of the Committee on Budgets are seriously taken into consideration so as to reverse the proposed payment cuts. While the concern to comply with the Multiannual Financial Framework limitations is understandable, it is also essential that budget allocations are sufficient and realistic. It is very important that the European Parliament, which is the only European institution that represents the 500 million EU citizens, underlines the promotion of growth and jobs and ways to tackle youth unemployment as its key priorities."@en1
