lpv:spoken text	"Having shadowed the Sogor Report for the ALDE Group, I consider that we arrived at a reasonable compromise in regard to European demographic statistics. An important issue arose where the ‘usual residenceʼ of a person could not be established: in such a case, legal or registered residence could be used except for the purposes of calculation for qualified majority voting purposes. It will now be necessary for Member States to provide Eurostat with data at national level. We have also included a review clause in both 2018 and 2023, when the Commission will evaluate the quality of data transmitted and the methods used to collect data. The Commission will evaluate the use of scientifically based, well documented statistical estimation methods to estimate the usually resident population from the legally resident or registered population."@en1
