"This is another example of how citizens are fed up and disappointed with the EU: often, complainants resort to these petitions simply because it is seen as a way to protest. The Committee on Petitions has no real power to change anything and yet it continues to ask for more petitions – just in order to create more unnecessary legislation. Individuals with genuine complaints should be able to have those complaints resolved at domestic level through sovereign parliaments."@en1
