lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report because I strongly believe that we should try and make batteries as safe as possible for both the environment and consumers. The ENVI report expanded exisitng legislation from 2006 to also include a phase-out of mercury in button cell batteries. Alternatives exist for both mercury and cadmium batteries which are better for the environment and health (cadmium and mercury are both carcinogenic and highly toxic)."@en1
