"I am against this directive because the UK already faces a number of immigration and healthcare challenges which would only increase if the directive were to be adopted. On the one hand, introducing a virtual professional qualifications card that would make it easier for European healthcare professionals to move and practice in other EU countries would cause a brain drain in some European countries that are in dire need of qualified healthcare professionals. On the other hand, it would increase the difficulties in already challenged labour markets in countries such as the UK, which are struggling to support local workers while dealing with an influx of legal and illegal immigration."@en1
