"Madam President, I must say that I am very enthused and excited about what I have heard here this morning. I think, bit by bit, we are putting measures in place that help to complete the single market and make Europe work for our citizens, which will help us in due course to get out of the crisis and make us competitive again. Tremendous credit is due to the rapporteur, Ms Vergnaud and people like Malcolm Harbour, whom I have heard speak about this on several occasions, and indeed also Commissioner Barnier for his good work in this and in many other areas as well. This is great progress and, in particular, the introduction of the European Professional Card is what is needed in this situation. The important thing now is that it will be implemented effectively and quickly because, as has been pointed out, 53 % of young people are willing to work in another European country if they are facilitated to do so. I think this is good step in that direction."@en1
