Those were not the facts ascertained by the Civil Aviation Authority in its investigations. I am sure he would agree that, if we want the EU to have one of the world’s safest industries, we need to be very careful to ensure that there are no unnecessary knee-jerk reactions or misinformation which sends out the wrong message. We can agree to disagree on what steps need to be taken, but these sorts of comments by some colleagues are wholly inappropriate and totally unprofessional, and colleagues who have to resort to these issues should not be taking part in this debate."@en1
