lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report as it criticises the horrific practice of Gendercide and supports the protection of women who may be coerced into it as well as promoting gender equality. However, I abstained on the amendments as I felt they were not consistent with the spirit of the report and went beyond its remit. It is also essential that we protect the freedom of Member States to legislate on sensitive issues appropriately and in accordance with the national sentiment, and neither EU legislation nor EU assistance should attempt to interfere on this matter."@en1
