It is important that we have proper rules and regulations regarding tobacco products to ensure that they are made as unattractive as possible, especially to children and young people. Research by the British Heart Foundation has shown that only 24 % of young people were put off by current cigarette packaging. This figure is far too low and more must be done to ensure that young people do not start smoking. I am grateful to all the constituents who contacted me on this issue."@en1
