lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report because eels are in need of more protection from the EU. The report called for better data collection measures, better implementation of the Eel Management Plans with the necessary guidelines. I believe that further measures should be taken where necessary to reduce mortality caused by other factors besides fishery, so as to meet the targets of the Plan. I support the reportʼs calls on Member States to collect data needed for research in order to quantify the impacts of measures taken on the eel stock, find mitigation measures and recommend management targets."@en1
