It is vitally important that energy poverty is tackled at European and national level and ensuring sustainability and affordability is also crucial. The report calls for small scale energy production and the involvement of cooperatives to be promoted. With energy prices increasing and proving to be an added burden for many households throughout the EU, including in Wales, it is important that consumers are made more aware of their energy options so that they can make informed choices that will save them money in the future."@en1
