lpv:spoken text	"US relations with Europe should be based on democratic values and principles, and mutual trust. The revelations about the US’s NSA surveillance programme have undermined this trust and it is now up to Washington to rebuild it. I want to see full disclosure on the bugging and wire-tapping of EU offices and representatives by the US authorities, including the potential involvement of Member States’ intelligence services. Member States must push for full clarification and credible assurances from the US that these spying activities have been definitively ended. I do regret the rejection of S&D amendment No 2 which would have called on the Commission to postpone negotiations on the transatlantic trade and investment partnership agreement until the US authorities have fully disclosed the details of their spying activities. Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs should now investigate this issue in full and report back by the end of the year."@en1
