lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of the proposal for this directive, as chemical pollution is one of the causes of ever increasing pressure on the aquatic environment and on the availability and quality of safe and clean water for our society. Appropriate measures are a central aspect of sustainable water management. The proposal is that the three substances be kept on the list of priority substances, but that their environmental quality standards (EQS) be deleted. The EQS will be proposed by the Commission in the next review of the list in four years time. This will allow for more comprehensive data to be gathered, with the latest scientific studies being taken into account and for public health benefits to be more properly accounted for in the corresponding risk assessments."@en1
