lpv:spoken text	"Mr President, this is surely one of those issues that unites people across the spectrum in this Parliament. There are different views on many issues, but on this particular issue of having to make that monthly trek to Strasbourg, surely it is time that the governments of the EU listened to the parliamentarians in this Chamber. What hypocrisy this demonstrates. On the one hand we talk about cutting CO emissions, yet on the other we are perfectly happy to maintain two parliaments and come here once a month, with all the waste of CO emissions that involves. We talk about better use of resources and even ask for an increase in the budget, yet we waste money on maintaining this Parliament here. Surely if we are to show that we are in touch with the people, particularly at this difficult time, it is time to close down one of the parliaments and make sure that we have one seat for European parliamentarians."@en1
