It further integrates the ‘polluter pays’ principle, recognises that adequate enforcement is essential rather than calling for more legislation, and deals with interoperability between national and regional toll systems and personal data protection. The European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) has long been promoted at EU level, and I believe it will facilitate, simplify, and improve cross-border charging for my Welsh constituents."@en1
