"Mobility of workers and of women in the EU is just one piece in the jigsaw that can contribute to access to employment and to maximise the skills of individuals and help to deal with skills shortages. One of the issues that arises for some women who are mobile is that they move to access jobs in the care sector or in the domestic sector. Many of these jobs can be part-time and precarious, and we need to ensure proper working conditions for these women. Often, these women are marginalised and need the structures of collective bargaining and social dialogue. The gender pay gap still remains and on Friday 14 June, the EU Institute for Gender Equality will publish a document indicating how the pay gap contributes to the feminisation of poverty both during working life and in retirement. Furthermore, I hope that the European Commission will on Friday 14 June announce that 2014 will be the European Year for Reconciling Work and Family Life, an issue that is of real importance to women and men alike."@en1
