I voted against this report as it centres on outlining measures to facilitate the operation of directives for citizens – I believe that this is simply another project designed to promote the EU by manipulating citizens. The report calls for the creation of a database of legal professionals with sufficient linguistic and comparative law skills to act in cross-border legal aid cases, with a view to integrating this database onto the e-Justice Porta. To me, this is simply another attempt by the EU to take over more national state competences with regards to Civil Law and to convince legal professionals to be more ‘pro-EU’ – therefore, I voted against the report."@en1
