This is why I supported this report calling for efforts to implement a greater level of protection across the whole consumer agenda, as well as improving transparency and harmonisation in this field. In light of the ongoing financial crisis, it has become even more important to secure a high level of consumer protection for citizens across all EU Member States."@en1
