lpv:spoken text	"This own initiative report looks at the challenges and opportunities for renewable energy in the EU’s internal energy market and calls for more investment to ensure that we have the technology and infrastructure to ensure renewable energy can play an increasing role in supplying the EU’s energy needs. Labour MEPs and our colleagues in the Parliament have led the call for binding 2030 renewable energy targets and I am delighted that the amendment we supported has been included in the final report. I hope the Commission will take notice of the opinion of MEPs, who have recognised that investment in renewable energy has the potential to protect the environment, generate jobs and growth in Europe and ensure the EU’s continued energy security."@en1
