"I voted against this report as I am against the very existence of this place which has no legislative right and is simply creating an illusion of democracy in the decision-making process through the involvement of regions and local authorities in the EU. Spending EUR 84 million per year on a Committee of the Regions will not make this place more democratic – in fact, it will create another army of Eurocrats."@en1
