"I voted against the EU-Mauritius Fisheries Partnership Agreement as I am in favour of putting an end to the plundering of Mauritanian fisheries by the fleets of certain EU Member States. I firmly believe that poorer states should have full use of their own resources, both natural and living – to me, this is a better approach than sending them money for so-called external aid and telling them how they should live."@en1
