It will likely exceed air pollution limits imposed by the Air Quality Directive this year – affecting the health of hundreds of thousands of Londoners, especially children and older people. The S&D was commited on this report to calling for binding targets for greenhouse gases, renewables and efficiency. These conditions are more important than ever for my London constituents, with the city’s failure to meet its emissions targets, and the prospect of new, high-pollution concerns, such as the South London incinerator, likely to gain planning permission in the near future."@en1
