"Labour MEPs voted against calls to reject the MFF budget deal. We fully support measures to boost jobs and growth, putting money into research and development, infrastructure and combating youth unemployment, but this must be done through efficient and effective spending. Furthermore, the report calls for the phasing out of rebates, which cannot be considered as an option without serious reform of the CAP. Labour MEPs fully support proposals to increase flexibility in the budget and believe that a mid-term review is needed in order to reassess priority spending in future years."@en1
