I also supported the amendment calling for a decrease in the general expenditure allowance of MEPs and for new up-to-date figures on the financial and environmental costs of the two seats of the EP. I have opposed the proposed cuts to the EU budget in areas such as structural and agricultural funding which would be disastrous for Wales.
