lpv:spoken text	"My vote was in favour of this report as I believe supporting agriculture in the outermost regions is essential to the economy of these regions. The proposed measures allow the implementation issues which exist under the existing regulation to be addressed and resolved. The agriculture sector in some of these regions is in decline, with few alternatives to the crops available for farmers in these regions to cultivate. It is important to ensure that we can protect their agricultural productivity and their livelihoods. I welcome an increase of 20 % in the maximum ceilings established for the specific supply arrangements in Portugal and France. This increase will allow greater input for the livestock sector, processing industries and human consumption and will provide extra support which will be fundamental to ensuring the profitability of the agricultural sector in the outermost regions of the Union."@en1
