"I voted in favour of this report to give consent to the protocol. It notes the conclusion of the Nagoya-Kuala Lumpur Supplementary Protocol on Liability and Redress to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety. This is an important element in protecting biological diversity from risks posed by biotechnology. With its commitment to sustainable development, Wales needs the protection that international treaties such as this one offer."@en1
