"I voted in favour of upholding Fundamental Rights in the European Union. I believe this resolution is necessary to ensure that Fundamental Rights are respected for all EU citizens, regardless of their race, gender or religion. In the pursuit of working towards a safer EU, European governments and institutions will be called on to prosecute xenophobia, racism, and prejudice against the Roma people, which are of particular concern in some EU Member States. I believe this resolution, which has my full support, is crucial for the European Parliament as we must recognise our responsibility in protecting and serving the citizens of the EU."@en1
