The European Parliament has previously demanded progress in this area and despite the fact that the situation is no better, with improvements negligible and continuing assassinations and disappearances, the EU continues to push the free trade agreement. Colombia continues to be the most dangerous place to be a trade unionist, and I for one remain unconvinced that the Colombian Government is trying to match its words with its actions. That is why I have voted against the FTA."@en1
