"Mr President, colleagues, the digital single market has grown to become a large part of the single market itself and its completion is of major importance. We must build confidence and trust to overcome the remaining barriers to e-commerce. This report has focused on this important issue as well as growth, employment and SMEs in a digital single market and how to achieve a more competitive and inclusive Europe. I would like to thank the rapporteur for her excellent work on this report. The ECR supported all of the compromises, which covered areas such as: a strategy to boost digital entrepreneurship, including the promotion of training for online traders and SME development programmes; the need to tackle cross-border delivery services, which are identified as one of the main major concerns of consumers; the need to strengthen IPR and to consider innovative business models and different licensing structures; and the importance of promoting technological developments for the education and protection of minors. I am supporting this report and I am happy to vote in favour."@en1
