lpv:translated text	"I support this report, which draws attention to the need for greater cooperation and consistency in terms of cyber security and defence. Only in this way can we better tackle these challenges, which, in my opinion, require the Member States to develop their cyber security and defence plans in parallel with the European Union’s own comprehensive approach to this issue. I believe that the European Union should take action by starting to negotiate directly with the private sector on more rapid exchange of information, while always respecting the anonymity of partnerships in the private sector, and guaranteeing a balance between security measures and the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms. In particular, the European Union should invest in its transatlantic relations with the United States in order to strengthen cooperation in this area."@en1
