"The European Parliament has again confirmed the position it has taken on a number of occasions in the past: the only way to put an end to violence and hostility between Palestine and Israel is through a two-state solution. The latest escalation of violence, with innocent victims including many women and children, urgently requires a solution to the conflict without further delay. The EU, by virtue of the Nobel Prize it has been awarded, should step up efforts to achieve a sustainable ceasefire and to remove the causes of this long-lasting conflict. Is it also important that the EU has confirmed its support for Palestine’s bid to become a UN non-member observer."@en1
