"Any changes to the International Telecommunication Regulations (ITRs) should be compatible with the European Union
and further the Union’s objective of, and interest in, advancing the internet as a truly public place, where human rights and fundamental freedoms are respected. I voted in favour of this resolution as I believe that the internet should remain free and open to citizens, with bottom-up multilateral participation, and that online services and the digital economy should be promoted. Lastly, the internet must remain an open space, guaranteeing respect for free market principles, net neutrality and entrepreneurship."@en1
