lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of this report because it is very important to establish a system allowing participating states to cooperate in order to find a solution to international child abductions. It is necessary to determine which courts are competent and which law is applicable when deciding where the child should reside. Recommendations are currently being put before the Council that it should proceed immediately with the procedure for the adoption of the aforementioned decisions. In the interest of European citizens who would benefit from the adoption of those decisions, it should refrain from impeding the proper functioning of the European Union on spurious legal grounds."@en1
