"The aim of this report is to establish a multiannual plan for the management of fisheries exploiting salmon stocks in the Baltic Sea. This will make it possible to preserve the status of the Baltic stock, as well as that of river salmon, and to ensure sustainable exploitation. The initiative therefore aims specifically to ensure sustainable fishing of Baltic salmon, but also to ensure that the genetic integrity and diversity of the stock are preserved. I voted for this report because I am conscious that fishery management is an important factor in ensuring the sustainability of marine resources."@en1
