As stated already, before the end of this week the Commission will come up with a new proposal based on what we have heard from both the Council and Parliament. We all know how time is of the essence here, and it is our view in the Commission that if the political will is there it is actually still possible to have the budget that we need for 2013. I also take from this debate that we all know that that is the least our citizens would expect from us at this stage. Not to be able to agree on that would not look good; it would not do anybody any good. That is what we will be working very hard to achieve over the coming weeks and months that we have left."@en1
