The point I was making is that the Court of Justice is likely to uphold this salary increase and therefore we will have to pay the 1.7 % salary increase whether we want to or not. In those circumstances I think it is wise for Parliament to put that money into reserve. I also think it is wise for all the other institutions to put that money into reserve, too, and I am asking the Council to accept that position."@en1
