It is crucial for the Russian Federation to avoid further consecutive increases of customs duties on wood exports. Over time, these have affected a great number of European Union producers. I also consider that the EU has a strong offensive interest in this agreement as it provides for significant improvement in the supply of wood from Russia. The agreement is welcome as it brings more predictability and better trade conditions."@en1
