lpv:translated text	". I would like to emphasise the excellent work done on this report by my colleague, Mr Panzeri. Furthermore, I share his conclusions. He has worked on the Commission proposal to ensure that the resulting report, by simplifying current legislation, promotes still further the competitiveness of the sector, while also taking our opinion at the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection into account. Agricultural and forestry vehicles could be excluded from the scope of the Machinery Directive provided that the new Regulation and its delegated acts fully carry over the existing requirements laid down in the Machinery Directive that are currently applicable to tractors so as to avoid any legal gaps and to ensure that the current level of safety is maintained."@en1
