"The common agricultural policy currently has a variety of promotion instruments at its disposal that were put in place for different reasons and for various types of beneficiaries. The next step now is to define more clearly a promotion policy that serves to stimulate and reward: the production of specific products included in quality schemes and farming practices which produce fewer CO
emissions, protect biodiversity and are better suited to maintaining the quality of soils and water supplies. I voted in favour of this report as I believe that the strategy advocated is correct and involves great added value for Europe."@en1
