"Mr President, the worst part of it for industry is the lack of continuity in regulations and the longer-term unpredictability. It is therefore important that the law that is created in Europe is stable. I also wanted to find out, Commissioner, whether you are doing anything to ensure that this stability of regulations will at least be for longer periods: 10 or 15 years. We know that investments in industry have a long investment period, and investors in industry have to know that the money they invest will be returned to them and that this will actually be utilised in future."@en1
